If I could bottle up every silly grin, every little laugh, and every warm feeling you’ve ever given me, I swear I’d have enough joy stored to power a small city—or at least keep me smiling forever. This note is my tiny attempt to capture all of that in words, even though what I really feel for you is way too big, too bright, and too magical to fit on a piece of paper. Still, I want you to know this: I love you. And not in a boring, serious, “traditional love letter” sort of way—though I’d definitely write one of those, too—but in a fun, goofy, everyday kind of way that makes life feel a lot lighter.

I love you the way people love extra fries at the bottom of the bag. I love you the way kids love jumping into puddles, even if they pretend they’re too old for that. I love you the way playlists love matching the mood perfectly and the way mornings love sunlight sneaking through the curtains. My love for you is simple, easy, natural. It doesn’t need sparkles or fireworks to be real—though, let’s be honest, you do create plenty of sparkles and fireworks in my brain without even trying.

When I say “I love you,” I don’t just mean it in the romantic sense—though that part is definitely real. I also mean that I love the way you exist in the world. I love the way you care about things. I love the way you tell stories. I love the way you listen. I love your quirks, your habits, your laugh, your presence, your energy, and even the weird things you do that you probably think no one notices. Trust me, I notice. And they’re adorable.
